SUMMARY:Aspen Project Field Trip & Brown Bag Lunch on the Roaring Fork
DESCRIPTION:We’ll meet at the Ute Trailhead in Aspen and walk down to the river to show attendees where our project with the City of Aspen is located on the Roaring Fork (total walking distance around a half mile). There\, Tony LaGreca (Water Trust Stewardship Manager) will talk about how the project came to be\, how it restores flow to the Roaring Fork River through the City of Aspen during dry years\, and how it demonstrates one of the ways that municipalities and the Colorado Water Trust can work together to keep water in rivers. \nAfterwards\, we’ll walk back up to the trailhead for a brown bag lunch and continued discussion. \nPlease RSVP by emailing Barrett Donovan at bdonovan@coloradowatertrust.org\, and let her know if you have any dietary restrictions. \nMeeting Location: Ute Trailhead. There is limited parking space at the trailhead\, so please carpool if you can.
