Hi everyone,
My name is Barrett and I just started my role as the new Development & Engagement Manager at the Water Trust. I will be working with the Water Trust team to share stories about the projects we are working on, plan exciting community events, raise money for our important work, and a whole lot more. I am really grateful to be part of an amazing organization that is making such a big impact throughout Colorado.
Since 2016, I’ve worked for Colorado nonprofits in both educational and environmental settings, always with the goal of connecting people with each other, and the natural world. Prior to joining the Colorado Water Trust team, I worked as the Director of Development for the High Mountain Institute, a semester school based in Leadville, CO. I am a proud graduate of Colorado College’s environmental science program, and am a certified environmental educator through the Colorado Alliance of Environmental Education. I am also currently pursuing a Master’s in Resilient & Sustainable Communities with Prescott College. In my free time, I serve on the board of Lake County Build a Generation and spend as much time as possible skiing, hiking, and exploring the Arkansas River Valley with my Great Pyrenees rescue dog, Lajla.
As I dive into this new role, I am looking forward to connecting with each of you soon. Please reach out if you have time to say hello! And I look forward to seeing you all at RiverBank in September.
